I like the look of the tray over the troopy. Also their 3 grand cheapy(Including buying a tray). However people seem to perfer the troopy. They seem so awkward and ungamely. Are there any people out there who have a tray and wish they had got a troopy. I know it depends on what you want to do; lets say general 4weelin and city driving.

Go with the troopie.
If your name has anything to do with your body size then the troopie will give you a lot more cabin space.
Also all your gear can be locked up easy and kept out of the weather, even put bunk in back for cat naps.
Can also have esky close handy to front seats.

So you have decided the 79 is better afterall !
Go the Tray. You can fit a canopy hard or soft ( with weldmesh under for security) and you have a usefull load carrying truck.
I have a camper on the back of
mine when away. At
home the tray becomes s spray rig, garbage pickup, firewood gatherer, friends removelist van, horse feed shoping basket, besides you can carry more beer on a tray and still tow a 4 horse float

Trays are very versatile and you will be amazed how many mates you have. Especially when they want to move house.
