Sky trek is Great, allow all day and try and to pick a clear day take cameras and binoculars. You can camp in bush settings for about $10. Just did Argadels and Mt Arden, good tracks and good views from the top. Plan a stay at Clayton bore 55 ks up the birdsvillle track for showers, toilets and artesian spa for coin donation, instead of Marree. Mungeranie pool apparently has water mites, so be careful of swimming there, but great hamburgers and service and last but not least Birdsville Caravan park for the best cappuccino in oz and if you flash your EO card at the spunk behind the counter you could get anything!!!

Funny...the water wouldn't get hot for me at Claytons Bore. Must have turned on the wrong tap:-)

Agree entirely about the best cuppacino in the country!

Cheers

Operating manual for clayton bore spa :-
Turn drain tap off,
Turn large fill tap on.
Water will be cold for a while then turns hot.
When 3/4 full turn jets on, 1 - 4 depending on requirements.
Turn Large fill off.
Strip off, get in, and enjoy.
Best in birthday suit.
When finished turn all fill taps off, and turn drain tap on, to empty.

Hi, I did the skytrek last July, its well worth the effort especially the view from Mt Carnarvon. Make sure you allow a full day.
Enjoy your trip
