Derrick--
Have recently purchased a Terrano TD27 and am slowly being driven round the bend. It has a speed warning chime at 105kmph.
Wondering if anyone has succeded in disabling a similar unit or altering the alarm to 110km + ? I expect the whole dashboard has to be dismantled to access the rotten thing. Appreciate any tips or pointers on solving the problem, if you have the same annoyance. I would like to start off of a bit informed before I rip into the wiring in frustration.
Many thanks
Derrick.

Derrick, a mate of
mine has the same car and the same warning chime at 105km/hr. After some investigating and asking a number of experts, we came to the conclusion that it was easier to just turn up the stereo. I know this isn't a solution and isn't what you were after but we found that it wasn't worth the expense or hassle so we put up with it and turn up the radio. Cheers, Jono.

Gday
Just remove the dash by a few screws holding it in...
Might have to remove shroud around ignition but ive forgotten.
The chime is about 3 cms in diameter and can be unplugged quite easily.
Its at the back of dash assembly.
Any questions just let me know
I imported a few of them and have removed for a customer before..
Good luck

Derrick,
I've just done it on my terrano. Remove the dash,(the cowling around the ignition doesn't have to come off) and unplug the black "speaker" behind the dash. It should take you about half an hour or so.
