Trojan T105 Batteries

They are quiet large and heavy, but for some weird electrical reason, 2 x 6 volts batteries in series are better than 2 x 12 volt batteries of half the Ah rating in parallel.

I got the battery box on my camper trailer built so that it can fit 2 T105's for when we do some long trips down the track, but haven't bought them yet. Trojan do have a good reputation.

I'm looking at buying the same batteries, for what its worth...they were recommended to me from the guy at battery world.$189 ea what price have you been quoted??Let me know how you get on with them.mardy

Oh yeah..umm.I forgot....the guy said that that was trade price.

If its of any help I have learnt to get the best life span out of a deep cycle battery is to charge them at 10% of their capacity, no matter wether there dead flat or half charged...A standard altenator will put in a heap of amps in,initially and taper off as the battery comes up to capacity.

I've got a circiut diagram for a regulator to do just that ( means having a dedicated altenator for the job, you remove/bypass the internal reg.) let me have your email address if you would like the info.

hi i run my fridge of a 220amp hr deep cycle battery at the moment i charge it as and you notice the fuel the alternator uses hell with 2 alternators look out i travel then disconect when i stop when im at detination i run generator for a few hrs at night to top it up and i get the side benefiet of eletric lights and if the football is on i watch that eventualy when i get my next vehicle ill have solar panels
