Got the patrol back yesterday & all seems fine. as well as new motor they replaced the drive balt pulley as the bearing was shot & all it cost us was $80.00 for a new belt as the old one was cracked. the 3 series motor dos'nt seem to have a bad a turbo lag as the old one but time will tell. Sorry Willem no tradeins as I think I will keep it for a while yet.

That's fantastic, you have to love warranty! It'll be just like you almost have a new beast now.

Are you putting the computer module back in? (I think you said you had a Dtronic or Unichip, didn't you?)

D'tronic Roachie, I'll leave it for awhile as I have to check if the chip settings are the same for the 3 series as the 2 series, probably after Berri. will be nice to meet you to

Would have thought another 3 years of manufacturers warranty (12 months at very least).

This would at least make up for the inconvenience of weeks off the road and the heartache and stress of having a catastrophic failure!

Hope it all goes well!!!!

I am going through the breaking in of a new 3.0ltr Turbo Diesel motor myself but mine has a Toyota badge on it. Pesty says it should hit it's full straps at about 60,000kms. I am sure the newer Nissan will give just as good service.
