Hj 60 power steering

Hello all my sons hj 60's power stering pump is leaking heaps of fluidi believe there is a seal kit available,does any one know if this is a job you can do at home or does it need a specialist mechanic. any assistance appreciated thankyou.

Brian my pump leaked and got a kit suplied and fitted it cost about $ 300 that was about 2years ago.

Hi Brian,

Genuine seal cost me about fifteen bucks, the shaft might be a bit stuffed and need some work, I was also quoted $300 to supply and fit the seal. It's not difficult, check the manual.

Hi Brian
The kit is only a few "O" rings and a seal.
If you have access to a hydraulics repair shop you will be able to buy the parts from them.
cleanliness and care when stripping and assemble, hydraulics do not like dirt
Parts to ovefhaul 80# pumps cost me $30
