Review: Ningaloo Reef Adventure

Yardie Creek Crossing - still not recommended/considered impassible. The last few cyclones in the area have totally changed the sandy base of the crossing area, which used to make this creek passable for 4WD but only on a very low tide. However, conditions now are such that the sand is VERY SOFT and the water does not fully recede so you will need to drive through a significant depth of salt water and could easily get bogged. There are a few reports of some recent crossings but this is not an indication that conditions have changed. It is still very much a treacherous crossing and is currently not recommended with no expectation of improvement for a very long time. Nature must run its course.
