Browsing the classifieds here as we're in the market for a near new caravan. Two vans of interest. While each has a big list of features and contents...neither has listed the Tare ,ATM or GTM. Basic info for a prospective purchaser. Sure I can chase them up....but I'll look for easier decisions first. Might pay to check edit and update your adds.

Beat me to it! I was about to post a very similar request this morning, when my day went crazy and I've only just got back here. Weights in particular are a part of a buyer's "need to know" list, to get a picture of how/whether their planned towing would work out.

There really ought to be a template for van and C/T sellers to complete, with space for numbers and Y/N answers. Then, after they have set out those essentials - which form a potential buyer's "ticks the box" list - they can add general description/comments.

...and the number of ads that we've looked at (in many locations in internet-land) that don't say how long the van is..!!!
You can sort of work out from the picture that it's about 16' or whatever, but when you're scrounging for every spare inch to get it into the garage or manoeuvred around the side of the house, this is a very frustrating omission, too!
You're right, yes we can chase them up, but it gets a bit frustrating after a bit and we go for the easier option...
Totally agree.

Gooday,
Sadly I think most of the sellers will not know those figures anyway,
however I agree they are vital, sadly most manufacturers do not understand them either or if they are aware they ignore the rules.
Cheers,

Seeing as some of the info is on the compliance plate, how hard is it to look in the boot and write it on a bit of paper.

I never respond to ads without sufficient info to inform me if its what Im looking for.

Their loss, plenty to choose from those who may have the brains to do it right

Same with photos. One image only isn't going to entice an inquiry, no matter how "glossy" the description is.
