Hi my wife and are in the process of planning a 10 wk trip starting end of July next year up to Darwin thru the centre I.e Cooper Pedy The Rock Alice Spring and beyond and back via Mt Isa Longreach Burke with a Supreme Spirit LX 22ft and full self contained
We plan to do at least 3 if not more days per week free camping and was wondering if anyone can give us ideas on weather we would need to take our full annex as we are trying to be as light on weight as possible ?
Anyone thoughts who has done a similar trip
Cheers

Can't speak for the centre but once you hit the top end it will be warm and dry with the lowest night temps in the high teens. When we lived there in the 80's many locals moved outdoors during the dry, with lounges and other furniture just being left out under the stars so a full annex probably wouldn't be necessary.
