Further to the reminder to look out for WA's wonderful wildflowers, here is a timely news item that came to light the other day. WA has just clocked up its 10,000th wildflower/native plant that has been formally identified and named. Whew, that's a lot to find and photograph - even the excellent Florabase database that a few of us use to try to identify the wildflowers that we come across, lacks photos for many of the different species.

Must be time for another wildflower trip - I wish!
