I am traveling along the Gunbarrel Hwy / Mulga Park Rd, and have a permit from the Ngaanyatjarra Lands including to go to Surveyor General's corner. BUT I believe that I need further permission from the local family.

Has anyone gone through this process lately that can point me in the right direction.

Hema maps have old / worng phone nos. The local store says get permission from the council, they say get it locally, the local community told me to get it from the council.

Some places say it is $100 per vehicle, some say $50, saome say you need to be escorted, some say not.

There are some old threads on EO but if anyone with recent experience could help that would be great

If you have written to permission through your permit. That is all you would need.

We were told $100.00 per vehicle, plus $20.00 per head, plus $100.00 for a "guide".
We didn't bother!

You can get all your permits & pay for the guide but i bet the the Toyota's down today boss & you have to take yourself out anyway.
Save your $$$ & just go out there. i am sure your GPS will show you the way.
