Very nice! I looked through all the
blogs and photos with interest since I have been to all those
places. Though it has been MANY years since I visited Disneyland, lol. I was born and raised in southern California but I now live in Las Vegas.
One thing though...I didn't understand your statement that smoking was allowed in restaurants. It is illegal to smoke inside a restaurant in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, or California. There could be different rules for outdoor patios depending on the state. Of course if you're in a restaurant that is part of a casino, there may be little to stop the smoke wafting in.
In Beatty if you visited the restaurant attached to the Stagecoach Inn (sounds like you did), I can definitely understand your point. The open passage between the casino and the restaurant funnels the smoke right through. I can't eat there!
The Mojave Desert and southern Nevada, and in particular Death Valley National Park, are my absolute favorite
places to visit and explore with my 4WD. That's why I settled here in Vegas when I retired! The lower-elevation areas such as Death Valley itself are best visited in the winter. But there are lots of
places at higher elevations that are comfortably accessible at other times of the year.
OK, back to what I'm supposed to be doing on EO: Researching
places I might visit next year!
