Why do low-lifes think they can have whatever they want regardless who owns it.

Many hours work not to mention dollars spent to bring a little joy to others and they reckon they can steal it.

Makes my blood boil.

It was only a couple of days ago I read an article regarding the sculptures at Lake Ballard but I can't remember where I read it.

Someone had noticed some of the sculptures were missing and enquired with the Menzies Tourist mob. From what I recall at least one of the sculptures was taken away for repair.
Hopefully that is all it is.

Total agreement. One of the things I find saddest in Australia (and not just Australia) is the way we have lost a sense of community owned and shared. We tend to scorn public ownership. In Japan recently I was very struck by the sense of pride and care of the community.
