In 2015 (18 Aug) we filled up a 20L container and intended using it only for drinking water but we actually ended up drinking a fair bit of it (yes, unfiltered and untreated) and we're still alive and it didn't taste bad at all. My major complaint is that the area around the
well is very dusty. The Ti-trees have recovered from the flooding years ago now, and it appears the dead wood has been removed/burnt.

Good to hear. I must admit we used the
well water along the CSR only for washing and carried the our drinking water which was 55 ltrs that lasted our 13 day trip.
