Just a heads up for those headimg across the Simpson next week.
The SDBC departs Purnie Bore on Tuesday 29th and this year riders will be taking the French line/QAA rather than the more traditional route on the Rig road.
Keep an eye out for the " fat" bikes being pedalled by these superfit athletes as you cross the dunes.
there should be fair sized convoys both ahead of and behind the riders to give a warning to vehicles travelling either east or west.
BTW this yearly event raises money to support the RFDS . I am pretty sure any of the official vehicles will be happy to accept any donations.
