Review: Innamincka

When we got to Innaminka we were told at the store that we could camp in the town common for $5 per night or at any of the National Parks camps for $19 per night plus a Parks pass $10 for 10 days. They are both serviced by long drops. We opted for a nice shady spot in the common only to find after setting up that all of the long drops were nearly full to the brim and barely useable as well as smelling terrible. Had we been made aware of this we would have stayed in the National Park as the long drops we well maintained and in good nick. We complained at the shop and they were well aware of the issue, the next day someone came and pushed the pile down a little but they really needed pumping out. I was told it was due to people emptying their toilets into the long drops, whatever the reason it didn't help our situation. My recommendation is to pay the extra and stay at Policeman's or Kings.
