Barry what route are you taking - black top all the way or via a couple of side trips into the NT National Parks and the GRR?

Once people know your route meaningful advice can be given.

Cheers

Should have qualified my answer. Blacktop and some offroad such as the Bungles by 4WD only. Will leave the van at a safe spot

Couple of spots, Barry.

There used to be a big, clear area at the East Baines River bridge, on right before you cross the bridge, as you head west.

Saddle Creek parking/camping area, not far after the West Baines River. Magic scenery! There used to be a good spot, just over the Keep River, to the left of the highway. We used to have dinner camp at Dingo Gap, where the Duncan Highway meets the Victoria H'way, on western side of the Duncan road. Don't know what it would be like know.

Keep National Park for a few nights.......plenty of Kodak opportunities.

It's all magic country,
Bob
