Hi All
Has anyone had a similar problem occur,? while driving under normal conditions on cruise control all fine .When c/control disengaged & right foot planted auto box will not come out of overdrive or go past 70km p/hr?? Any Prado owners susjestions

Unsure about that one, but have you tried turning the overdrive off, won't solve the problem but will probally release the torque lock and give you a handfull of gears again. Is it a factory cruise or thrid party?
The thrid party electronic cruise on the surf does some strange things with the auto too, going down
hill it somehow manages to keep the torque lock engaged and uses engine breaking with 0 throtle, however as soon as I disenage the cruise it drops out of torque lock and the motor goes back to idle and the smurf starts picking up speed.
Spooky.

Definitely a problem! At 70kph it should kick back to 3rd and FLY!!! HAve it checked by a specialist - it will be a switch.
