Different brand springs front/rear

G'day All

just wondering if i could put a different brand spring in the back of my gq due to the new springs i put in are good but the back is sagging and that is the heaviest spring they do, so if i get a differnt brand spring in the rear cause any probs

It would be like putting Coppers on the front and BFG's on the back, it would work but it is not the normal thing to do. You could try selling the springs that you have on now and buy a new set that are heaver, or you could put Polyair bags in the back to help with the extra weight.

I can not see why not ,Springs are springs no matter what colour they are.They are just coils of (wire /steel ) if your back end (lol) is sagging go for a stronger spring.

I agree. Just a case of finding the right spring you require for the weight being carried.

As Wayne said, if you have the heaviest spring and they are sagging (or is that struggling) under the weight, your options are to put polairs there (or similar) to assist them or buy some spacers to lift the rear up to be level with the front (if you are happy with everything else)
If you had an 80, i know a guy with some 22mm diameter blue rear springs :-)
