Hi all,
I just completed a trip that Rick (S.A) suggested earlier this year. Thanks Rick we all had a ball !
2015 Trip - Red sand/Beach sand trip - the Outback & the Coast
Melb,
Mildura,
Renmark,
Peterborough, Pt
Augusta,
Pildappa Rock,
Ceduna,
Googs Track, Lake Gairdner/
Gawler Ranges /Mt Ive,
Adelaide,
Robe,Nora Creina,
Beachport, Southend, Carpenters Rocks, Warrnambool & Melb
This has turned into an annual event, where I take a few mates that don't have the opportunity to get to see great
places in Australia.
The 2014 trip incorporated the
Flinders Ranges,
Coober Pedy, Simpson,
Birdsville Races, Innaminka,
Tibooburra,
Broken Hill.
Now looking for suggestions for another 2 week trip for 2016, again leaving from
Melbourne. Not fussed at what month.
Thanks in advance
Phil P

If you still want to see the SA outback. and want to do Googs again try
Ceduna - Googs, follow the railway west to
Watson,
Maralinga tour,
Port Lincoln and the sand dunes, the ferry and
York Peninsula,
home.
Maralinga is a great tour of the old nuclear
test sites. Get in quick if you want to really experience it too......

Hi Boobook, I do not think the ferry is in service. We inquired about it on our trip back from
Coffin Bay area in July/August this year and was told it is out of commission till further notice. Was advised by the tourist info centre at
Ceduna

Just saw their facebook site. They are getting a new ferry delivered, hence the closure for a while, their last estimate a few months ago was Late Oct or Nov.

Why don't you have a gander at this website
http://outbackbeds.com.au/ You could do a road trip taking in members of Outback Beds and incorporate national parks and other attractions along the way. Outback Beds is going to have driving routes on its website soon. Cheers Toni
