Review: Connie Sue Hwy

My Place Rating: My Rating 3/5

We travelled in late July 2015 and ran into rain at Rawlinna so waited a day to rest up for the track. There was mud for the firstbsection through the station country so we needed to be careful with our trailer. We managed tonstick to the limestone areas and had no issues. There are lots of gates to open and close in this section. Once on the wide graded section the track is good and the flowers were great. Sturt Peas claimed the side of the road and large Hakeas were splendid with their pright cerise flowers. Neale Breakaways are a must see. After Neale Junction the track deteriorates to a corrugated mess and is slow going. Such a shame as it certainly takes away from the wonderful scenery. It is a great part of our country with great history, mthanks to Len Beadell.
