waeco fridge cf 60 fan

Can I use any compatible 12v condenser fan on my fridge as the original one has died. Also the fridge runs continuously on hot days ,I was thinking the fan could be causing to much heat around the thermistor and it getting a wrong reading

The condensor fan cools the refridgerant going through the condensor causing it to
change from a hot gasseous state to a liquid state.

In other words it helps remove the heat extracted from inside the fridge, if the fan is
not running then the fridge will not be running efficiently and it will run for longer,

Any fan that has the same airflow rate or better and will fit the condensor can be
used, I would suggest though you use a high quality ball bearing fan and not a cheap
computer type.

I replaced the fan in my Waeco CF35 with a 120mm 12v, ball bearing computer fan from Jaycar, YX-2522 @ $36.95
The overall dimensions are 120 x 120 x 25mm so check for fit before purchase. Simple 2-wire 12v connection to existing wiring.

just cable-tie an old computer fan (or two) to the condenser and make sure that it/they are blowing the air upward
