We have been using the Cadac Safari Chef for our trips, best method of cooking..
anyway, it currently uses the gasmate/companion style g2 (I think) gas conatiners with a screw thread, does anyone know of an adaptor, so I can use a bbq lpg gas bottle?

I contacted them and it was sent out (about $30 ? ) don't think it was on their web site.

I got a hose adaptor from BCF a few years ago so I could screw my single burner stove top directly to the Coleman bottles works a treat, so guess that could be similar to what you're chasing?
Cheers

Its basically a gas cannister similar to this
http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Primus-Cartidge-Bottle-450g.aspx?pid=400450#Recommendations
It has a small screw on section, that screws into the cadac cooker.
So I am looking for an adaptor that has a small male connector, with the toher end capable of connecting to a bbq bottle.
Cadac australia isnt answering their emails, and am not sure if they are still operating

I rang them as i am having the same problem
They no longer import or sell the hose because of some change in legislation

Thanks for the follow up.
In looking at the options, I am changing directiomn, have just purchased
an adaptor that allows me to use the cylinder type gas cannisters, you can buy
4 at a time so much cheaper. Backpakers use the same adaptor to run jetboils on the cheaper cannisters
