Hello everyone
Was wondering if anybody could shed some light on a question i have.. is it possible to change out the rocky diffs for toyota hilux diffs fairly easily? I.e. similar spring width, similiar spring mount spacing, similar shock mounts?

Cheers luke

I'm not familar with either model but I would have thought the Hilux would have a bigger motor and therefore be running a different ration diff to the Daihatsu but I guess you've already checked that out?

The Rocky had a 2.8 turbo diesel. While it was a bit rough empty, put a load in it and it was as good as any similar swb 4by.
Almost unkillable but not "Unbreakable" as the Lo-lux claimed to be.

Disco.

Gday
Are you talking about the 'diff' which is the little bit in the middle of the crown wheel, or the axle housing?

He said diff but he is describing an axle - so not sure.
