Maybe you need to check the settings on your PC, because it's perfectly OK on mine, and the site is very simple to navigate.

Gazza in the upper right hand side of you screen there will the settings function , a small cogged wheel in my case. Click on that, the drop down will show various options one of which will be 'Compatible View Settings'. Click on that and a dialogue box will appear. If Explore Oz is in the large box click on it and remove it should bring you back to a white background with black lettering.

My IT people here at work had me at that setting and EO is not designed to be viewed in Compatibility View.

Hope that helps?

Cheers

Ditto Gazza

Similar here mate. The menus and options seemed better when done in words not pictures like a "wheel". Took an accidental bump for me to find it. But let's face it; you can't spell a picture incorrectly.

I left all that stuff back at work when I retired in 2005 from BAE. Started with computers in 1970.

I hope this site isn't swapping information with Facebook!

That would be one reason to leave. I am using the new version even though I prefer the old one, this one does what I want and that's just the forum.

Spell check is automatic. If you spell something wrong it becomes underlined in red and then all you need to do is a right mouse click on the offending word as per any Word related document.

There should be a spelling checker in your browser. If not then install one. If you are using Firefox just go to Tools > Add-ons and search for the Australian dictionary.
