I am intending on travelling down the Tanami this Monday or Tuesday and would appreciate any advice on road condition and good
camping spots at the
Halls Creek end not including Wolf
Creek.
Cheers

Bosun,
Stretch Lagoon was a good spot after you shovel the Brumby crap away. Lots of birdlife.
S19 40 41.5 E127 35 16.2
The Tanami range was ok - S19 56 04.1 E129 39 59.0
Turn off the track towards Mt Hardy - S22 09 17.7 E131 28 03.7 Plenty of wood and a great view.
There was a totally destroyed camper trailer with the axle pulled completely out. It couldn't have been there long. Travel to conditions and I found it ok. This was a couple of months ago.

Cheers for that I will check them out. I was hoping someone had travelled it recently for a rain damage update if any.

Stretch lagoon July 2014. Excellent
shop at Billiluna. But check the opening times. Fuel is cheaper at
Halls Creek.
