G'day all
Went to get a couple of 'O' rings for my Baby Q from the Weber dealer in
Mildura called Austrek Adventures.
Told the lady I wanted an '0' ring for the pol fitting that goes on a 3kg gas bottle. I was told that they don't sell them separately any more and I have to buy the pol fitting.
I asked for the rubber bit for a soft nose fitting on the end of the hose that fits into the pol. Same answer. I had to buy the complete hose.
She did not have a hose in stock and suggested I try the enzed store.
To cut the wild goose chase short I was directed to BCF, which is next door to Austrek.
You guessed it BCF, and probably other
places had the '0' rings and sold them separately.
Totally disappointed that a
shop could tell me a pack of B/S.
BCF staff very helpful. Austrek,
well, what can I say?

I noticed my O ring on the same fitting had perished so I went just pulled out an O ring from a set I had bought from the reject
shop for $2 a couple of years back - works Ok so try any O ring from Bunnings of the right size or buy a set form the Reject
Shop or better still go to an auto LPG installer and get a suitable sized O ring from there.

Can't agree more. Bunnings or ebay etc. and you'll have a life time supply for just a few dollars. Have done this on my oxy/acetylene sets for years.

even an auto air conditioning service centre will store "o" rings that would be suitable for your needs, as they stock a large selection of various sizes

An industrial supplies place will have a box with a range of diameters and thicknesses.

Drop a note to Weber Aus.
Austrek deserves a rap over the knuckles.
As others say, those 0 rings available everywhere except where you would expect.
