Anyone had problems with theses chairs? We have now had 2 replaced with tearing. Used only a few times. They claim they will take 150 kgs we are only 80 and 100kgs. Very Dissapointed in OzTrail, thought there gear was good!

Hello

Some more info would be handy e.g. Where are they tearing?

Also, are you ensuring left and right front reinforced material "lips" (for want of a better word) are positioned over the top of front legs. This is a common cause of tears in all chairs of a similar design from my experience, though this may not be your problem. I do however doubt it's to do with OzTrail product itself, even the cheap $8 chairs last longer than "a few times" if used in the correct manner.

Cheers

Hi

That is disappointing. at that price point you would expect good quality

Where did they tear? My personal preference is for chairs with rigid arms as I have dodgy knees and have to push hard on them to get up sometimes.

cheers

I agree, the rigid arm ones, preferably in steel frame ( bit heavier, but STRONG ).

Oztrail are like all the rest, made in China........and looking at pics of that chair, I can't see where the 200KG rating comes from ??

"Oztrail are like all the rest, made in China"

So "the rigid arm ones, preferably in steel frame" are not made in China? Just wondering if the "made in China" reference is relevant. Where are the steel frame chairs made?

Cheers

At this price point you'd expect quality.........was the reference to made in China..

The strong steel framed chairs I have are made in China and they were approx $50, so people paying anything near $100 for "made in China " chairs are paying too much.

Brand of chair is irrelevant mostly as a lot of them are probably made in the same factory in China.

So are you saying that all Chinese chairs should be a maximum of $50 regardless of design?

Umm....camping chairs...not the reclining fancy ones....YES !! If you see one that looks and feels nice, there will be another "brand" exactly the same ......

I have bought Primus, Oztrail, Super Cheap Auto, and my latest steel frame 150KG Rhino brand either at normal price or on special for around $50..

It is not just Oztrail, I had the same issue with a Blackwolf chair. Replaced three times under warranty where it didn't survive a weekends use each time

Ended up getting a refund and going back to my 5 year old chair until I find a better solution
