Hi All

Went to order some Anderson plugs but the Aussie website is no longer working. Or is just my browser?
The reason I wish to order from them again is, cheap, original plugs not copies, lugs can be ordered in a variety of sizes and any quantity.
Can now only get the US site up?
Your thoughts anyone....

Cheers

Lyndon

Thanks. They certainly seem to stock them. Not the original company though I don't think.
Previously you could buy the full range of lugs as per the American site. Not so on Andersonconnect.
Anyone else have any info re this?

Try this one ANDERSON PLUGS
It seems to have most things but looks a bit different to the previous site and I can't log in as I did when I purchased previously.

I also could not connect to the site using my address and password.
I went to the new site and re-entered my details and logged on.
The products are the same and the photos that I sent to him a long time ago of non genuine plugs that had self destructed are still there.

Bonz, Pinko's 2nd link works for me. However, something odd is happening with the website address.
When I click on the "https" address (which is supposed to be a secure site, when the "s" is included), my browser automatically converts the address to the simple, unsecure, "http" address.

If you have a sensitive Anti Virus Programme, your AVP might be blocking the address as an unsecured site.
It appears that Google has determined the site is not secure, and thus it is blocking the first address that Pinko provided.

A Google search for "andersonconnect.com.au" does not produce any results, thus showing that Google is blocking the site from search results.

I think the company and the webmaster need to be advised that something is not right with the sites security certificate, and thus the site is in the "bad books" with Google.
Google are very active in the field of weeding out dodgy and malicious websites and if you get in their bad books, it's the equivalent of getting on the wrong side of the police.

Here's the company contact details.

Call Shane: 0418 353 281.

Email: sales@andersonconnect.com.au

Cheers, Ron.

Hey Ron, a Google search for "andersonconnect.com.au" opens the referenced site for me using Safari on a Mac. Just checked my safari and OS X security settings and they appear to be tight.
I can make a computer work but never really understand them!!
Cheers

Allan, some AVP's are "touchier" than others, particularly on the Windows machines.
I don't think the Apple devices are as concerned about viruses, as they always bragged about not being susceptible to viruses.
That was only until some scumbag found a way to produce a virus for Apple devices!

Google and MS are pretty hot on making websites become registered as "secure" sites.
I've had official Govt sites where Google has red-flagged the site as "unsafe" when I tried to access it - simply because the sites security certificate had expired.

Cheers, Ron.

Thanks for all the info folks. Still a bit bemused as to why a company like that would change all it's details?
My Norton AVP doesn't like the site either.
Cheers

Thanks Craig, handy to know. Have been known to frequent Bunnings, on the odd occasion. :-)

Jaycar sell Anderson plugs. 3 "sizes" in the 50amp unit, and the 120 & 175 amp units. The 50amp are priced at $9.95, so nearly 3 times the price from the Anderson Connect site.
