Hello all,

Another one for you, my new rodeo work car fuel light comes on when there is still apparently 26 litres left inthe tank. When the fuel light first comes on I can only squeeze 50-52 ltrs in the tank, the book says all rodeo's have 76ltr tank. Allowing for a little slosh in the bottom that means i can do about 250kms on the fuel light as the car generally runs 9 ltrs/100kms.

I have only been game to do 120kms on the fuel light sofar, anyone else with a new rodeo know what the story is here?

cheers, crowe

Crowe,
when the fuel light comes on im my RA, I can squeeze usually about 95-100 Litres into the tank. Most I have put into it was 114L, meaning there shoulda still been about 6L left in the tank, gee I was lucky to get away with that.
By 9l/100k, you obviously have one of these efficient diesel's eh.

Cheers,

Dion.

yep, effecient diesel, it wasnt real flash at brand new, about 12-13l/100k but keeps improving every tankfull, currently at 13,000kms. Im just amazed the fuel light comes on so early, my old navara came on when i had about 10 ltrs left, only 6 usuable so you had to find a servo within 50-60clicks otherwise your walking

my old work vehicle the RA rodeo v6 would show you that light nearly every day !! It was a shocker , light comes on, fill it up with 60 - 65 litres, odometer shows 400 - 450 ks.. (you do the sums, i got sick of seeing those big numbers!!)

With the lousy economy i wasn't game to try for more than 50-60 ks once the light came on.

Thanks for your replies but i have found the answer

I spoke to Holden and apparently they are getting alot of enquiries about this, the light is supposed to come on at this time.

They had complaints with th previous model fuel light coming on with very little left in the tank so they increased it with this model except it looks like they have gone too far the other way.

As long as i know that i really do have 25ltrs in the tank when the light comes on im happy.

cheers
