The front caravan boot door is coming away from long piano hinge.it happened before whereby the door fell off
Took it to a jayco recommended repairer who stuffed the Jiob and the door fell off while we were standing there plus they added extra unneeded holes. My husband and a friend managed to get it back on themselves but it pulling away again and will soon fall off. out of warrantyt too. Anybody experience this and if so how did you fix it? A caravan repairer has suggested rivets rather than nails. will prob need new door but need suggestions on how best to get it done properly.

You need to confirm what actually needs doing.
Nails on a caravan doesn't sound right, and a 10 sec look by anyone with any sort of experience will soon see what the problem is !
Take it to another van specialist for another look !

Oops I didn't mean nails i should have said screws.
Yeah we need to take it to a caravan repairers to look at it properly. We are permanent travellers and we aw parked in a great spot so didn't want to have to move but guess we will have to.

If you can use a few pop-rivets to allow the use of the door whilst on site then do that. Plan your next move so you will pass a good van repairer and get him to make a more permanent fix.

Should no be hard for anybody with reasonable skills
