Mine is a 2002 model and It has been out to Mitchell falls into the Bungells and any where that I wanted to go its been into the Lamberts centre, Dalhousie, Mt Dare and everywhere in between. and had no major problems with it. As far as i am concerned If my Pajero can go there then the van will within reason.

I have a 10+ year old Getaway. have taken it accross the Great central Road and on quite a few shorter offroad trips. The chassis and suspension are unbreakable - pity they didn't make the cupboards to the same standard. I have had to do some work to them but generally it is a very good value for money off-road van.

Ours is a 2001 model which we bought second hand five years ago. We've taken it throughout the Pilbara and Kimberley including the Bungles on our lap with no dramas at all. We too upgraded from a Campomatic Ranger and done approx 40,000k in the Getaway and haven't yet regretted the change.

Hi Shano S,
Is this a second hand van?
Also, can you tell me what the floor covering inside is made of?
We did the same as you a few years ago now and upgraded to an older Off Road Supreme Getaway 11ft.1997?

We wanted one a bit longer but there wasn't one 2nd hand available at the time when we swapped to the van to go up to Cape York .Weight was also an issue for us.
We Stayed on the Development road which was very corrugated toward the end of the season It did it very well and made quite an impression on some of the other travelers.

We took it steady & hubby gave it a full service before the trip ( bearings etc as with every trip).
As the date moved up into the 2000, things changed in order to be viable for the business and if you wanted a New Off Road Supreme Getaway made ( say you wanted a special design), to have it made to the original type was cost prohibitive, for us anyway.
The people at Supreme told us this. It has been very good. picture of van in my Profile.

Take care, Safe travels Ma.
