Gday guys I need a tarp to go over my tent and have about 3m out the
front
Some of the tarps are very hot to be under can some one recommend a good brand

Regardless of the tarp you use, you should ensure an air gap between the tarp and the tent to allow air circulation. Gap needs tp be at least 100mm. Commonly known as a 'tropical roof'.
Is your tent not waterproof?
Rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy!

Yes the tent is water proof Air circulation is ok
It gets very hot when you sit under some of the tarps

No matter what you use it'll be hot underneath.

One of those good quality Silver one side green the other would be durable.

If you just need shade, how about some light coloured 90% blockout shade cloth?

After getting heavier and heavier poly tarps that still fly off on the wind, I eventually got something like this

It is much lighter, more compact, easier to fold and store and it strong.

It is a great shelter for the sun. For rain, it slightly flexes and provided you set it up with enough of an angle will run of better that a tarp.

About the same price as a large poly tarp too. It blocks something like 95 % of UV. I guess that is SPF 20
