Holland Track north to south?

I am planning a trip along the Holland Track for this April and was wondering about doing it north /south, that is start in Coolgardie and finish in Broomehill. I was looking at doing it this way because if we start in Broomehill we would be arriving in Coolgardie around ANZAC Day.
My only concern is would I be going against the flow of traffic seeing that I believe it is narrow in places?
Or do you get a fair bit of traffic going both ways?
Cheers,
Mark

traffic goes both ways all the time. Don't worry about it, lots of passing places

Hi Mark,

Plenty of people do it from North to south. We did the track a few years ago starting in Hyden and met 3 other groups coming from the North. It is narrow in places but you can always get around each other some how.

If you get up early, hit the road early and camp early, you will probably get less sun in your eyes if you start at Coolgardie. :)

There is not much point in going any further than the Hyden-lake King Rd. (travelling N>S) From there the track traverses through farm land and in some places no longer exists. Cheers

That's a great track and route. Once you get past the Hyden Norseman Road, it's easier going however still maintains its sense of history.

I have a blog pictorial which has most of the points of interest:
Holland Track Pictorial

I like to do it again some day, nice trip and close to Perth.
Cheers

There are historical interest points on the southern section. Using the booklet Explore the Holland Track as a guide, we covered the southern section and parts of the section north of the Hyden Norseman Road in 2007. See My Blogs.
