Just put one on the Auto Surf. Bit of a mission seeings as it had third part imboiliser and alarm hooked up to the factory central door locking and all the ECU cutouts and crap the alarm had. But it's good now. We just used a Jaycar (silicone chip) kit with a few mods. Hooked up 2 or 3 automotive relays so that hald the alarm could arm but wouln't cut out the engine until the timer had cutout.
That way you can arm the alarm and lock the doors like normal and it keeps running.
We also put a switch and another relay that overides the tempeture sensor so it will run weather the motor is hot or cold and go for 10 minutes instead of 90 seconds. That way you can flick it to "overide" and go into the shop to get the milk or warm the car up in the morning or leave the dog in the car while you go get an icecream etc. If you need more info let us know.
