Hi All
Just wondering if I'm unique in receiving no response when emailing Kaymar.
First email was deleted without being read. No response to the second email either. Sent a third today.
Trying to order a replacement part that's not listed in their catalogue.
Cheers
Lyndon

I sent them a couple of emails once to tell them about a couple of flaws in one of their products and didn't get a response either:(

Yes, that had crossed my mind........... and I did expect someone to suggest it :-)
Just bemuses me that in 2016 a company doesn't answer their emails (3 times).
As I need the part I'm sort of left with no choice. Just didn't want to have to go through the whole "explain what part" and possibly get shuffled around until I get someone who knows what I'm talking about.
Cheers

Sounds like you would be able to explain much better than trying to type it out in an email or 10.

I recently needed a new locking plate for the tyre carrier as I changed to factory mags,
Rang them to explain, and got it in a couple of days,
they did mention ARB were the stockists for their products but helped out anyway.
Only problem I encountered was their ph. no. had changed from the one on the old plate, no real drama.
Cheers

I called them the other day regarding a sensor issue and the got the installation engineer to call me back within an hour, with the info I wanted.
Maybe like me they don't like emails :)

Have you considered that they don't have a staff member who looks after emails or that they were bothered by unwanted junk mail. We got an big problem in the 4wd fixed by them recently. I sent them an email asking for a quote and no response.
Rang them and they said "to be truthful we don't
check emails much. Not worth the time and effort with all the junk mail we get. Hundreds a week". I don't blame them. Even my nephew-in-law had the same issue with his small engineering business. He just gave up as the "real" messages got lost in the fog of scam and advertising muck that they received.
Yep they got the job and it was worth it. Three mechanics and two 4WD workshops couldn't get rid of a knock in the steering column over about three years. All fixed now and we will now take both cars to them for all work 4WD or not, work. Bloody
well worth the phone call.
The phone is much better anyway. More personal and you can immediately answer and ask questions instead of wasting an "email trail".
Call them. I got excellent service myself when I called.

Wow!
Rang them and they said "to be truthful we don't
check emails much. Not worth the time and effort with all the junk mail we get. Hundreds a week".
If that is truly what they quoted - how much business are they losing given their web page contacts for quotes/info etc goes straight to an email form.
No wonder they charge like wounded bulls for their products - have to make up for lost sales somehow.
Cheers

Their rate is 2/3 the 4wd shops. It was a very big job. Almost a whole new steering setup from the rack, tie rod end, steering column bearings. They don't get many requests for quotes. They have an excellent reputation and that brings the work in.
When 90% are crap, would you blame them.

Yep! I can blame them.
It will be the 10% they don't respond to that bag them out.

Well folks, after three emails I got a reply with a quote. Said they would call me ASAP for CC details................ two days later I emailed them to say they were free to call anytime.
Received a call the next day. Fingers crossed that "it's in the mail".
Cheers

The trouble with email is you never actually know if they received it or not unless they reply. There are many different reasons why an email can go missing. The amount of spam flowing around is just mind boggling.

Well yes and no. My first email was sent with a read request, this way I was able to see that they deleted the email without it being read.

Only if they click yes to acknowledge the read request. I usually click no to anyone I don't know for security reasons. You still won't know if they delete it. Then it's possible for many reasons that the reply won't make it back to you. Like many things on the internet, you can get the completely wrong impression because of the way things pan out.
