hi
What are peoples experiences with these units .
For those that donot know
30 amp dc to dc adjustable 10 20 30
30 amp MPPT solar regulator
suitable for agm ,flooded , gel , lithium
all charge voltages adjustable .1volt steps [suits all battery specs ]
equalization only operates in flooded mode and is manualy selected [this is typically auto in most others and is not recommended for many batteries]
if u consider a mppt solar charger and a dc to dc charger these unit sell for around 460$ +postage
Any one found cheaper ??
It appears there should be way more of these around than the 40amp redarc which cost more why ?

The 40 amp redarc cost more because it's 40 amp so why are you comparing that to a 30 amp and not other 30 amp units on the market.
Last month I bought from 4WD Extreme a 40amp redarc BCDC 1240-LV charger for $459 plus $24 for a relay so I can attach a solar panel to the charger prices are delivered to my door. I went 40amp because I have 2 x105ah agm batteries and will be fitting a solar panel some time.
The same charger cost $755 through redarc.

hi
thanks for your response . I must have missed that price . I was seeing 500-550. By the way whats the relay for? I was under the assumption all 40amps solar would run thru the charger.
Even so the price makes it a harder decision

I am only new to these and it was recommended to get one look up Redac for explanation as to why.
