Hi
I'm heading up the QLD coast and am looking for somewhere to stay over Easter that is not a) booked out or b) chockers with people and cars. We're planning to spend sometime on Moreton Is, but I'm wondering whether it gets really busy over Easter.
Cheers
Chris

Knowing how close Moreton / Straddie / Bribie are to Brissy / Gold Coast metro, yeah, it'll be busy :)
We did Straddie on a normal weekend not long ago, and it was pretty busy then.

Fraser is further north, but because it's the premier destination island and popular, it'll be packed too.

Get in early, book your site, and go anyway.

East coast of Australia, at the beach, during xmas and easter, is both a and b of your question.

I am pretty sure that if you have not booked the barge and campsite well before now you will have no chance.

We went to Moreton for Easter a few years back. Not too busy except for a few spots and especially near Tangalooma. National Parks regulates numbers to a reasonable level.

Great spot but you have to book holiday times.

Anywhere along the QLD coast at Easter will be totally and utterly chokas.
