I have a 4 m Freedom 12 volt from Carefree by Colorado. Press the button and it does all the work! It is a box awning, and in my opinion more protected than the roller awnings. I have a Sunbuster rafter kit which strengthens it up really well in windy conditions. The Carefree is stronger than some awnings, as you can extend it a reasonable distance, even all the way, before you need to bring the legs down. It depends on how windy it is.

We opted for a bag owning by Fiamma. More suitable for a shorter van maybe. Ours is only 2.2m wide and 2.4m pull out. But to only mount the tent track on the wall and presto its done. Very happy with it though it you are single it would be difficult to erect alone. I like the legs folding into the unit. Very strong and I use the option of two tent ropes.

Gooday,
You do not say where you are but I would have a look at Cvana Awnings, they are NZ design and made, they close automatically if the wind gets above a certain strength. Google them anyway.
As far as I know Caboolture Caravan Repairs in Queensland are the only agents in Oz, worth considering.
Cheers,
