Hi,
We are looking at selling up with in the next two years, our kids will be 11, 9 and 5. My husband has a successful painting business and has done for over 8 years. How do we find work along the way? i am thinking painting jobs in small rural
places, caravan parks, pubs that need a paint that sort of thing. Any one traveled with their own business before? We are just after some small amounts of work for extra leisure money.

Have a look at Workaboutaustralia. They have jobs listed all over Australia for people working around. Might have some tips on finding your type of work.

we'll be gone and doing that in 5 weeks time.
I'm a bricklayer but we aren't travelling with kids.
Hopefully I can let you know how we're going.

We recently met a couple on our last trip over
Easter that are successfully 14 months into what you are going to do.
He is a mechanic and she is a medical receptionist, they waited till the youngest moved out.
They say there is heaps of country work going around (stations and farms) and the trick is to be willing to do any type of work.
Country folk tend to be jack of all trades, anyone can paint and I'm guessing you wont be around for long to honour any workmanship warranty if any happen to arise 3, 6 months etc down the track. Just say'n.

You might get jobs easy.Everytime you stop in small town just ask.I was on my way to
Halls Creek via Nullabor and stopped at hotel and they asked me if I could paint clean or seve in bar .Free accomodation and ended up doin all 3 jobs.Kitchenhand jobs are a plenty .You be fine just enjoy the freeedom and journey .We are lucky in Oz ...
