We usually travel the Neds Creek road on our way north. Last year it was atrocious! !!Wiluna council told us it was good!! Found the sign at the end as we entered the Great Northern highway that it was closed!!! Is the Goldfield highway from Wiluna to Meekatharra bitumen?

Gidday

It's a few years since I was on it but it was a good drive. Unsealed most of the way but with sealed sections to help with passing in dusty conditions.

Cheers

Yep, that's what it was like August last year. All the unsealed was very good.

Hi Osters. Yes, as others have posted it is mostly unsealed with sealed floodways, and subject to closures in wet weather. Long term planning for sealing is very long term with no funding allocated or available. It is part of a well used highway, so is regularly maintained.
