Phone the Shire of
Dundas. Doesn't take much rain to close the road.
When it's dry it can be in better condition than many tarmac roads. It's graded every 6wks or as req'd.

As Duncan says, it is a
well maintained road. We have been through twice when it was raining but not enough to close it although other roads in the area were closed.
All good with no updates since 31st March for the
Hyden-Norseman Roadso as Duncan suggests, call the shire just before you leave.
Likewise it is open on the
Shire of Kondinin side.

Pimbi - No problems, the road is good, I travelled through earlier this week in my Hilux.
There's been a bit of rain over
Easter, but not enough to cause any problems, and the ground has been so dry, virtually all the moisture has soaked in.
Hyden got about 45-50mm and
Norseman got about 15-20mm over
Easter, but you'd be hard-pressed to find any puddles now, even in the roadside drains.
Cheers, Ron.

I might add - there are road condition signboards located just West of
Norseman - and just East of Kondinin townsite, on the Kondinin-
Hyden Rd - that give you the current road conditions for the "remote roads" between these towns.
These signboards are updated by the
Dundas (
Norseman) Shire, and the Kondinin Shire, as soon as information comes through that the road conditions have deteriorated, making travel unsafe.
Norseman-Hyden Road condition signboard at Norseman
Cheers, Ron.
