When using my mobile (Samsung)...
In
Places the option to browse by 'My Current Location' is greyed out.
How do I turn it on?

You need to turn on "location services" in your device. On my Samsung S5 phone I swipe down from top to reveal a control panel & its in there.

Depending on the model (which it would have helped if you mentioned it) you may have to turn on "use wireless networks" and/or "use GPS satellites".
I have to do this in my low level Samsung Galaxy Ace
