Google Polish Hill camping.
There will be a phone number for enquiries.
Large campground, basic facilities.
We had a large group ther a few years ago. Was excellent.
See how you go.

Hi Nick,

Not sure, but if in doubt, give them a call.

There is also cheap camping out at the Clare Racecourse, and you would never fill that.

As for the Show Grounds, the caravan park cracked a fruitie and put an end to that, so now the motor homes go out to the racecourse, with hot showers and toilets and from memory only $10 night

You can give Norm Crowther a call to confirm the Showgrounds, but I know the Clate A&H society were. Not happy when the caravan park put a stop to camping there.

Cheers

Hi nick

We stopped at the racecourse when we went through. Would recommend it.

It is no frills, but clean ablutions and bloody hot water. We had access to one of the bar/kitchen areas for the kids to do school work and use when it rained. Not sure if this is the norm or because I gave the grounds keeper a hand to repair his tractor?

It was $20 a night when we were there in 2014.

Cheers

Anthony

But there is always Stephen's front lawn. I'm sure he would have hot and cold running water, flushing toilets and probably a refreshing ale in the fridge!!!!

As others have said, racecourse is good - hot showers, plenty of room, and kitchen facilities as well.
Only problem is the showers are fixed in the wall at jockey height, so if you're over 5ft you need to bend the knees a bit.

Clare Racecourse has a 48 hour limit if you are looking for somewhere for the long weekend.

My favourite in the Clare Valley is the the Auburn Sports Ground (community managed) but the area for camping is only small so that may also be full. With very good amenities and in a pleasant quiet location, this scored amongst the very best we have been to.Auburn Sports Ground Caravan Park

Hi Nick

Lotsof good rides in the area. If you want to do the Riesling Trail, you cycle on the old railway line.

From Clare you can go two directions, Clare and head north out to Barinya, of south and Clare to Auburn.

Or else there are many great rides on the back road, Clare Spring Gully, Clare to Penwortham on the back roads then back on the Riesling trail to name just a couple.

It should be a perfect weekend for it.

Cheers
