Across the Nullabour

we stayed at a farm stay called Coorabie just before the Nullabour, stayed there last year and found the hosts to be lovely people and very hospitable.

Hit 1:65 for ULP which isn't too bad. Carry 50 lt you can avoid most of it
I figure they are proving a valuable service in the middle of nowhere so just buy the fuel and cop it sweet mate

Avoid the Border BP ($1.65) and get fuel at Eucla ($1.43) if needed. That is for diesel 6 weeks ago. Best to fuel up at Ceduna and get to Norseman, but it depends on your range!

While I don't like wasting money either, sometimes it pays to get the calculator out and check things.

IF you put in 100 litres at the dearer $1.65 it's only $22.00 dearer.

A good saving for sure, but it won't break the bank either.

many thanks for your comments. more a curiousity question than a financial consideration.

Our trip will be 13000-14000 km Adl-Leinster-Pt Headland-Mt Augustus-Perth-Albany-Adl once we add in all the rubber necking tourist spots.

X-g Nullabor isn't an issue, we added up previous x-gs, around 7 since '75 (old road - LWB V4 Ford Transit - OMG !!) but this trip we're on the "slow boat west", dropping into Maralinga and several of the Gr8 Aust Bight cliff top spots.

Why not get yourself a copy of the Fuelmap app Fuel Map that will show you a map and the location/prices of the fuel type you define.
