On the android version of Oziexplorer you can load a waypoint and then it has the capability to show the map at that waypoint. Can this be done if I load a track ? I can't find any go to map type of function for tracks, is there a solution?

when you load a track into Ozi, you go to the location on the map where the track is loaded. If you look at the map viewer, you will see the tack on it, then click on it and your main map will open where the track is. If you do not have a map open where the track is located you won't see it on the "view" area. Hope that makes sense?

If you click on "show track control" you can check to see if you actually have a track loaded. You can also change the colour and width of the track if it clashes with the the colour of a road etc.

Sorry, gave you the PC version....
Same principal applies. on your map, zoom out until you see the location of the track. Tap on it until you have the map level you require. You must have a) loaded a track and b) show tracks turned on.

Thank you for your reply Fred, my problem is if I don't know where the track is I can't scroll in or out to find the required map. I was aware of the PC way of doing it, I was trying to do it the bush with the android only. I will keep playing around for the simple solution.

Hiya Sludgie
I'm also finding the Android is 'subtly' different than the CE version- after about 10 years of using the latter !!

How i do it if i was given an unknown trackfile.plt is to first load the Australian map from Hema then load the file so you can all Oz , then load a more detail map of that area of track location. Dont think there's a goto feature for tracks. You could create waypoints manualy along the track and then use go to, but use your destination waypoint as a goto so you can see you progress then zoom in and just follow your line. Ozi android still needs more development

Thanks Maurice, I have sent an email To Oziexplorer just in case there are changes coming. The reason for the unknown tracks was just laziness on my part from not naming them. I like the waypoint idea for the start of a track.
