I am looking at Mounting a bike Rack on the rear of a Jayco Journey caravan.. As the Van has a spare wheel mounted at the rear, the bike frame will probably have to extend out some distance to clear the spare. Is this legal? Has anyone else done this? Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks Johno

Been down that path, found the rear got too much movement and put a lot of stress on the carrier.

Now mount the bikes in the front.

ISI bicycle carriers. Designed for offroad. Not cheap, but the best. They do a drawbar mount to weld or bolt on.
