Has anyone used this? It looks like a good way of keeping a tab on your precious vehicle (child, wallet, luggage etc)

Tiles are useless. Apart from the fact that they only work 10 metres from your phone, they keep losing connection with it. I lost mine ..lots.

The battery lasted about 9 months too.

It was a waste of money.

Tom, my understanding of the Leash thingy is that it uses BlueTooth sensors located at major airports, and in other Leash owners' phones, which then link over the web so the position of the beacon can be determined from afar.

If your vehicle was stolen and happened to be driven within 20 metres of a person with the Leash app on their phone, you would receive a notification.

From my reading they are developing a Luggage Leash, and a Wallet Leash in the form of a credit card. All your beacons can be monitored simultaneously.

I'll be interested to hear if anyone has tried it.

There is a few of these ideas hitting the market at the moment.
But they do rely on everyone having there bluetooth on and running a certain app.
I know I usually have bluetooth off and kill all apps so I can to extend mobile battery life.
I think they are a good idea and hopefully it takes off.
