We joined Scotty Wales and his wonderful little helper Mary-Anne for the 4x4 adventure of a lifetime to the tip of Cape York in 1989. In this age of analog video recording, I had my National (now Panasonic) full sized VHS (VHS-C came out later) video recorder connected to a National F2 (WVP-F2N) video camera by umbilical cord all powered by a 12 volt wet cell motorcycle battery in a leather pouch I got made up that hung off a strong waist belt. A roof mounted early solar panel assisted the vehicle (Daihatsu F-55 diesel pickup 4x4) charging. I have since had the information from the analog tapes converted to digital media by DVD Infinity (www.dvdinfinity.com) with amazing results. Surely we should all have our valuable analog tapes converted to digital to keep forever.

Come on, don't tease like this.

Upload them to YouTube so we can all see the adventure.

You can get the gear off eBay to convert them to dvd or data files. We did my grandfathers super 8's a while back.
Well worth the effort.
