Hi
We are travelling to
Alice Springs in Mid July towing a 22ft Supreme Spirit XLE semi off Rd
Towing it with a BT-50 Diesel 3.2 auto on way to
Darwin
Can anyone advise the condition of the Ernest Giles Rd between Stuart Hwy and Luritja Rd and is Luritja Rd sealed to
Kings Canyon
Appreciate any information
Cheers Greg& Leonie

Depending on conditions at the time, the Ernest Giles Road can be a long short cut. Quicker and easier to follow the bitumen. Yes, Luritja drive is a very good sealed road between
Kings Canyon and the Lasseter Highway.

We didn't find Ernest Giles too bad from
Boggy Hole Exit to Stuart, but that was back in July last year, its condition can change with rain / heavy vehicle use etc.
I'd say you could do it ok, and it's quite an enjoyable drive, reasonably scenic, you just need to perhaps drop tyre pressures a little on the vehicle and van for comfort and drive at the right speed for any corros / your rig and tow.
